This chart provides information that consumers may consider while making their decisions about the health plan or drug plan that best meets their needs. It displays the amounts that independent sales agents are paid by companies for selling Medicare health or drug plans. In some cases, the amount is displayed as a range. The range represents the maximum and minimum amounts paid by the company. Consumers should note that payments to agents in these plans may differ, but must fall within the range. For plans that did not use idependent sales agents, the N/A or not applicable is displayed in the compensation amount column. This means that the agents selling these plans receive a base salary and are not compensated solely based on the number of sales.
The chart displays the following data elements: State, County, Company Name, Uses Independent Agents, Compensation Amount, Contract ID, Plan ID, Segment ID, Review. Plan segments which have not submitted an attestation are indicated by the value CR (Correction Required) in the Review column.
The chart is sorted in ascending alphabetic order based on State, then County. Plan segments which cover all counties in a state are listed first using the county value 'ALL.'
