As we’ve discussed, factors such as race, ethnicity, language, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, and socioeconomic status can result in health disparities.

The ability to improve understanding of and address racial and ethnic disparities in health care outcomes requires the availability of better data related to social determinants of health.
