Types of Language Services

Language access plans refer to the 2 primary forms of language services:

1. Interpretation: Focuses on verbal or oral communication
2. Translation: Focuses on written communication

While you may hear the terms interpretation and translation used interchangeably, they’re different and require different skill sets.
