Introduction to Language Access Plans

State vs. Local Needs

You can use your organization’s needs assessment to make sure interpretation and translations reflect the languages most commonly spoken in your community.

Use state level data to supplement your local information. However, state-level data shouldn’t replace your local information because your community might have different needs. Hover over each map to see example data from Michigan.
