• The new TRA Foundation topic Artificial Intelligence (AI) Guidance is added.
• The TRA Foundation topic CMS Strategic Guidance and Preferred Solutions is updated to reflect the decommission of Enterprise Data Mesh and EUDC; and the introduction of IDR Enterprise Data Product (EDP). Other changes reflect new emphasis on Microsoft 365 capabilities and other collaboration tools, as well as deprecation of the Cloud Protection Manager (CPM) for AWS.
• The Application Development Open Source Software (OSS) section is updated with new guidance about CMS OSS policy and the SHARE IT Act of 2024.
• Application Development Principles has updated guidance for “Design for Caching,” “Introducing New Software,” and new Recommended Practices for “AI-Assisted Coding.” Web-Based UI Services has updated Business Rules on authentication and multilingual capability
• The Data Management chapter is updated to reflect the decommission of Enterprise Data Mesh and EUDC, and the introduction of IDR Enterprise Data Product (EDP). Enterprise Data Business Rules are reissued under Data Management.
• Disaster Recovery Business Rules regarding Recovery Tiers are withdrawn to reflect replacement of RMH Chapter 6: Contingency Planning by CMS Information System Contingency Plan (ISCP) Handbook.
• Content, references, and links to new, existing, and rescinded Executive Orders and OMB Memoranda are added, updated, and corrected.
• Links to CMS Risk Management Handbooks and new ISPG policy guidance are updated.
• Website updates for this release include:
• Images: Provides a dedicated dialog for image zoom, enabling deeper and clearer visual inspection of critical image details.
• Navigation Sidebar: Provides the ability to collapse the left navigation sidebar, enabling users to maximize screen real estate and focus entirely on the topic content.
