Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:
The destination IP address for the HETS 270/271 application will change on Sunday, December 14, 2008. The new HETS 270/271 application destination IP address will be: xxx.xx.xxx.xx port xxxx. CMS will provide a specific time and implementation schedule for this transition (including any anticipated outage periods) no later than Friday, December 5, 2008.
HETS 270/271 submitters will need to make any changes necessary to your internal systems to send Medicare 270 eligibility requests to the correct IP address. HETS 270/271 submitters must be prepared to complete this task on December 14, 2008 when CMS changes the destination IP address. HETS 270/271 submitters who change the destination IP address before December 14, 2008 will be unable to connect to the HETS 270/271 application. HETS 270/271 submitters who do not change the destination IP address on December 14, 2008 will also be unable to connect to the application. These submitters will be unable to send or receive eligibility files until the situation is resolved by the submitter.
