Hurricane Milton – Florida (2024)  

Secretary Becerra used his authority in the Public Health Service Act to declare a public health emergency (PHE) on October 08, 2024, giving us the flexibility to support our beneficiaries in the State of Florida, effective retrospectively since October 05, 2024. 

Hurricane Helene – Tennessee (2024)  

Secretary Becerra used his authority in the Public Health Service Act to declare a public health emergency (PHE) on September 30, 2024, giving us the flexibility to support our beneficiaries in the State of Tennessee, effective retrospectively since September 26, 2024. The Secretary signed an extension of this PHE on December 27, 2024, effective retrospectively since December 25, 2024.

Hurricane Helene – North Carolina (2024)  

Secretary Becerra used his authority in the Public Health Service Act to declare a public health emergency (PHE) on September 28, 2024, giving us the flexibility to support our beneficiaries in the State of North Carolina, effective retrospectively since September 25, 2024. The Secretary signed an extension of this PHE on December 27, 2024, effective retrospectively since December 24, 2024.

Hurricane Helene – Georgia (2024)  

Secretary Becerra used his authority in the Public Health Service Act to declare a public health emergency (PHE) for the State of Georgia on September 27, 2024, giving us the flexibility to support our beneficiaries in Georgia, effective retrospectively since September 24, 2024. The Secretary signed an extension of this PHE on December 27, 2024, effective retrospectively since December 23, 2024.
