Erin Richardson
Erin Richardson is Chief of Staff in the Office of the Administrator. Erin joins CMS with a breadth of health policy experience in the federal government, on Capitol Hill, and in the private sector. She most recently held the role of Senior Vice President and Counsel at the Federation of American Hospitals. Prior to that, she served as Senior Policy Advisor at the White House Domestic Policy Council where she focused on Medicare and health information technology policy development and execution.
As Professional Staff and Health Counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives’ Ways and Means Committee, Erin worked extensively on several health laws, including the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) and the Improving Medicare Post-Acute Care Transformation Act (IMPACT).
A former David A. Winston Health Policy Fellow, Erin received her J.D. from Columbia Law School, Master of Arts in Bioethics from Case Western Reserve University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Wellesley College.
