Section 2702 - The Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services will analyze data and identify underserved counties in Michigan that have the lowest enrollment numbers. They will also conduct an economic analysis to draw conclusions of possible barriers concerning the lack of access in health insurance markets. Thereafter, Michigan will work with consultants to develop an educational campaign for the identified counties in order to strengthen health insurance coverage. The educational campaign will assist Michigan to thoroughly assess the consumers’ needs in order to ensure access to affordable health insurance.
