Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:
CMS announces an upcoming outage to the Medicare HETS 270/271 eligibility system. . CMS data center maintenance will begin at 10:00 PM ET on Friday, December 13, 2019. The HETS 270/271 system will be unavailable during this period. Attempts to open a connection to the HETS 270/271 application will result in errors. CMS estimates that the maintenance window will be completed by 11:00 PM ET on Friday, December 13, 2019.
CMS also announces that the previously announced out for Saturday, December 14, 2019 has been rescheduled. The updated outage will begin at 7:30 AM ET on Saturday, December 21, 2019. CMS will deploy updated HETS code during this outage. The HETS 270/271 system will be unavailable during this period. Attempts to open a connection to the HETS 270/271 application will result in errors. CMS estimates that the maintenance window will be completed by 11:00 AM ET on Saturday, December 21, 2019.
Finally, CMS announces that the previously announced outage for Saturday, December 21, 2019 (announced on 12/6; see below) has been cancelled.
Following the outage that is now scheduled for 7:30 – 11:00 AM ET December 21, 2019, HETS will return updated 2020 deductible, copayment and coinsurance liabilities in the 271 benefit response.
