Highlights:
- Among Medicare beneficiaries living in the community in 2020, 75 percent received a seasonal flu shot. The youngest beneficiaries (under 65 years old) were the least likely to get a flu shot compared with people aged 65 and older.
- Dually eligible beneficiaries were significantly less likely to receive a seasonal flu shot: among Medicare beneficiaries living in the community in 2020, 62 percent of dually eligible beneficiaries received a seasonal flu shot, compared with 77 percent of non-dually eligible beneficiaries.
