  • Among Medicare beneficiaries living in the community in 2022, Medicare beneficiaries with incomes less than $25,000 were more likely to have ever been diagnosed with diabetes (38 percent) compared with beneficiaries who had incomes of $100,000 or more (27 percent).
  • Approximately 34 percent of Medicare beneficiaries with diabetes have completed a diabetes self-management course, with beneficiaries who speak English at home being more likely to have completed the course than beneficiaries who speak a language other than English at home (35 percent vs. 26 percent, respectively).
