- Among Medicare beneficiaries living in the community in 2023, 49 percent knew how to file a complaint or appeal with Medicare.
- Beneficiaries under 65 years or 85 years and over were least likely to know how to file a complaint or an appeal compared with beneficiaries in the 65 to 84 age group.
- Among beneficiaries with 3 or more limitations in activities of daily living, 39 percent knew how to file a complaint, or an appeal compared with 51 percent of beneficiaries who had no functional limitations.
