3. Table 7A/7B: Tables 7A and 7B contain the number of discharges, and selected percentile lengths of stay for both MS-DRGs, version 23 and MS-DRGs, version 24 as published in the Federal Register.
4. Impact File: Impact data file contains 2 worksheets- first worksheet contains Impact file data description, second worksheet contains Impact file data. THIS FILE IS FOR THE FINAL FY 2007 IPPS NOTICE - CONTAINS 100% OCC MIX ADJUSTED WAGE DATA AND REFLECTS LATEST WAGE INDEX CORRECTION.
5. AOR/BOR: Before and after outliers are removed variables listed in excel. These are the variables used in the calculations of the relative weights as well as other calculations for PPS.
6. Case Mix Index: This file contains hospitals' case mix indexes (CMI) for discharges. A hospital's CMI represents the average diagnosis-related group (DRG) relative weight for that hospital. It is calculated by summing the DRG weights for all Medicare discharges and dividing by the number of discharges. CMIs are calculated using both transfer-adjusted cases and unadjusted cases.
7. Standardizing File: The file is used to standardize charges for the rate building process
8. CCRs for IPPS FY 2007 Final Rule: This file contains the 13 National Average Cost-to-Charge Ratios used in creating the cost-based DRG weights for the FY07 Final Notice.
9. Final Provider Specific File: Provider data submitted through April 1, 2006 for use in the FY 2007 IPPS Final Rule. The file contains 3,949 records of 240 characters each.
10. DRG Weight Comparison: Contains DRG, descriptions, cost-based weights and charge-based weights used to calculate the final blended weights (2/3 charge-based, 1/3 cost-based).
