- Among Medicare beneficiaries living in non-metropolitan areas in 2021, 4 percent spoke a language other than English at home compared with 14 percent of Medicare beneficiaries living in metropolitan areas.
- In 2021, Medicare beneficiaries living in non-metropolitan areas were more likely to have one or more disabilities (51 percent) compared with beneficiaries living in metropolitan areas (42 percent).
