Guidance concerning the protection of patient privacy and medical record information is clarified. This guidance is consistent with the standards under the Federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule.Guidance concerning permitted incidental uses and disclosures is clarified and includes reasonable safeguards that must be in place to ensure patient privacy.Tags A-0441, A-0442 and A-0443 have been combined.
