Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:
CMS is currently performing year-end processing at the CMS datacenter in preparation for open enrollment. The Medicare HETS 270/271 system is operational; however, because of this year end processing there is a delay in updating the eligibility database utilized by the HETS 270/271 system. Responses provided by the HETS 270/271 system between November 8th and November 16th may be impacted by this delay. This delay in updates to the database may result in cases where the HETS 270/271 system responses may not reflect the beneficiary's current situation. You may notice a discrepancy in utilization data, such as deductibles remaining, home health, hospice, hospital, skilled nursing facility (SNF), and end stage renal disease (ESRD) data, as well as Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) data.
CMS appreciates your understanding and patience regarding this matter. CMS will send notification once the datacenter year-end processing completes and all planned updates have been made to the database.
