Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:
CMS previously announced that the HETS 270/271 destination IP address would be changing in December, 2008. This change will begin on Saturday, December 13, 2008. Here is an estimated schedule of the transition process:

The HETS 270/271 system will continue to operate at the current xxx.xx.xxx.xx port xxxx IP address until 8:59 AM ET on Saturday, December 13, 2008. HETS 270/271 submitters must continue to submit their HETS 270 requests to this IP address until 8:59 AM ET on Saturday, December 13, 2008 in order to receive proper responses. Submitters cannot change their destination IP address before 9:00 AM ET on Saturday, December 13, 2008. Changing the destination IP address before this time will cause all requests to fail.
The HETS 270/271 system will be offline and unavailable from 9:00 AM ET on Saturday, December 13, 2008 until 6:59 PM ET on Sunday, December 14, 2008. HETS 270/271 submitters will not be able to submit 270 requests during this interval. HETS 270/271 submitters should use this interval to adjust the HETS 270/271 destination IP address in your systems to the new IP address. After this interval, any attempts to submit 270 requests to the existing xxx.xx.xxx.xx port xxxx IP address will fail.
The HETS 270/271 system will come back online at the new destination IP address of xxx.xx.xxx.xx port xxxx IP address at 7:00 PM ET on Sunday, December 14, 2008. All that point, HETS 270/271 submitters must send their 270 requests to the new destination IP address of xxx.xx.xxx.xx port xxxx. Failure to change the destination IP address will cause all requests to fail.
