Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:

CMS announces that HETS 270/271 performance testing will continue this weekend. CMS had previously announced that HETS 270/271 testing would continue from 10:00 PM tonight, October 1, 2010 until 4:00 AM ET tomorrow, Saturday October 2, 2010. CMS will actually continue testing until 8:00 AM ET on Monday morning, October 4, 2010. The HETS 270/271 application will be available during this testing period, but submitters may notice higher than normal response times. CMS will closely monitor the impact of this testing on the HETS 270/271 application and will modify or terminate testing as necessary to ensure acceptable HETS performance.

In addition to this weekend's performance testing, CMS announces two upcoming outages of the Medicare HETS 270/271 application:

1) CMS will perform maintenance on the HETS 270/271 application beginning at 9:00 PM ET on Saturday, October 9, 2010. The HETS 270/271 application will be unavailable during this maintenance period. Attempts to open a connection to the HETS 270/271 application will result in errors. CMS estimates that the maintenance will be complete by 4:00 PM ET on Sunday, October 10, 2010.

2) CMS will conduct maintenance on the HETS 270/271 application beginning at 9:00 AM ET on Saturday, October 16, 2010. The HETS 270/271 application will be unavailable during this maintenance period. Attempts to open a connection to the HETS 270/271 application will result in errors. CMS estimates that the maintenance will be complete by 9:00 PM ET on Saturday, October 16, 2010.
