Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:

CMS announces that HETS 270/271 will continue late night application testing this week. CMS will perform testing on the HETS 270/271 Medicare eligibility system from 10:00 PM ET on Thursday, October 14, 2010 until 4:00 AM ET on Friday, October 15, 2010. CMS will repeat this test the following night from 10:00 PM ET on Friday, October 15, 2010 until 4:00 AM ET on Saturday, October 16 2010. During both tests, the HETS 270/271 application will be available but submitters may notice higher than normal response times. CMS will closely monitor the impact of this testing on the HETS 270/271 application and will modify or terminate testing as necessary to ensure acceptable HETS performance.

In addition to this week's late night performance testing, CMS announces an additional upcoming outage of the Medicare HETS 270/271 application:

CMS will perform maintenance on its data center infrastructure beginning at 12:01 AM ET on Sunday, October 17, 2010. The HETS 270/271 application will be unavailable during this maintenance period. Attempts to open a connection to the HETS 270/271 application will result in errors. CMS estimates that the maintenance will be complete by 8:00 PM ET on Sunday, October 17, 2010.
