Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:

CMS advises that the previously announced maintenance window on Saturday, December 10, 2011 has been rescheduled. CMS has coordinated scheduling so the previously announced maintenance work will be performed concurrently with the upcoming HETS 270/271 2011 Q4 release on Saturday, December 17, 2011.

CMS announces that the HETS 270/271 2011 Q4 release will be installed on Saturday, December 17, 2011. No content changes to the 270 request will be required for this release but submitters should closely review Release Summary #2 below to ensure they are not sending trailing spaces in alpha numeric data elements of the 270 request (with the exception of the ISA06 Interchange Sender ID field which requires padding via trailing spaces).

Please review the online 2011 Q4 release documentation in the Downloads section below and prepare as necessary.

The release is scheduled to be installed on Saturday, December 17, 2011 beginning at 6:00 AM ET. The HETS 270/271 application will be unavailable during the system release. CMS estimates that the maintenance will be complete by 8:00 PM ET on Saturday, December 17, 2011.
