Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:

The Medicare 270/271 Eligibility system is currently experiencing system issues. HETS is returning a high number of AAA03=42 'System Unavailable' errors. Some requests are receiving proper 271 responses but a high number of transactions are receiving the 'System Unavailable' error. Average response times are higher than normal.

Some submitters also report they having difficulty obtaining an available connection to the HETS 270/271 application.

This issue has been escalated to CMS IT for review and resolution.
