Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:
A reminder that CMS will modify the HETS 270/271 application on Saturday, December 15, 2012 to install the HETS Q3 2012 release. This is a very significant release that includes changes to the 270 request and 271 response files. Submitters are strongly encouraged to review the linked documents below and prepare for this change.
The outage window will begin at 7:00 AM ET on Saturday, December 15, 2012. The HETS 270/271 system will be unavailable during this period. Attempts to open a connection to the HETS 270/271 application will result in errors. CMS estimates that the outage will be complete by 4:00 PM ET on Saturday, December 15, 2012.
Also effective this date, the HETS 270/271 application is being modified to return the updated 2013 Medicare rates and deductible amounts (effective for January 2013). 2013 Medicare rates and deductible amount information will be distributed via Medicare’s regular provider communication process.
