Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:
CMS previously announced a HETS 270/271 HCPCS change (see below). Effective January 1, 2017 preventive services HCPCS codes G0389 and 77057 are no longer valid for use with HETS 270/271. HETS 270/271 utilizes the 270 submission date/time (and not the 270 Date(s) of Service) to determine if a preventive services HCPCS code is active. Submitters that continue to send these now deactivated HCPCS codes to HETS 270/271 are receiving a 999 Implementation Acknowledgement error. Submitters should cease sending these deactivated HCPCS codes to HETS 270/271 immediately.
