Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:
In addition to the previously announced HETS 270/271 R2019Q300 release (scheduled for mid-September 2019 deployment), CMS is also planning an upcoming HETS 270/271 R2019Q400 system release which may impact HETS 270/271 Submitters.
The HETS R2019Q400 Release would, if necessary, address any HCPCS related changes that would be effective on January 1, 2020. CMS is waiting to receive additional information about 2020 HCPCS changes. If there are no changes to the HCPCS codes that HETS 270/271 supports, then there would be no external facing changes in the R2019Q400 release.
Based on the information that is currently available, CMS has published a HETS 270/271 R2019Q400 Release Summary in anticipation of this release. CMS urges all HETS submitters to use this R2019Q400 Release Summary and the upcoming HETS 270/271 R2019Q400 Companion Guide to prepare for a potential upcoming release.

The R2019Q400 release is currently scheduled for December, 2019. Submitters will be notified when additional information is available regarding this release.
