Medicare HETS UI Internet Eligibility Users:
CMS would like to again remind HETS UI users that it is CMS' intention to sunset the HETS UI Internet Eligibility system by the end of 2013. Current users of the HETS UI Internet Eligibility system need to take action to ensure that your organization has access to a replacement Medicare eligibility service.
The MCARE Help Desk has provided specific instruction (including a deadline to migrate away from HETS UI) to certain users that are located in particular MAC jurisdictions. All other HETS UI users also need to ensure they are taking appropriate action to identify alternative Medicare eligibility options.
