Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:
CMS announces an outage to the HETS 270/271 application on Saturday, April 5, 2014. This outage will allow for the installation of the HETS R2014Q100 Release (more details below). The installation window will begin at 9:30 AM ET on Saturday, April 5, 2014. The HETS 270/271 system will be unavailable during this period. Attempts to open a connection to the HETS 270/271 application will result in errors. CMS estimates that the maintenance window will be completed by 5:00 PM ET on Saturday, April 5, 2014.
As outlined in the previous email copied below, this is a significant release. No content changes to the 270 request are absolutely required for this release but submitters may need to re-evaluate the Service Type Codes that are being submitted on the 270 eligibility request. HETS submitters should use the previously released Release Summary and upcoming Companion Guide documents to prepare for this important upcoming release.
CMS also announces that the 270 request and 271 response examples posted on the HETSHelp website have been updated to include details specific to the R2014Q100 release. Those updated documents may be found online in the Downloads section of the “HETS 270/271 Information” page and are labeled as “upcoming”. (Be sure to refresh your page to ensure the page footer says ‘Date of Last Revision 03/05/2014’)
