Medicare HETS UI Internet Eligibility Users:
The previously announced changes to the Physical/Speech and Occupational Therapy financial data returned in the HETS Internet Eligibility response will occur as scheduled effective October 1, 2012. However, the Therapy used amount returned in the modified HETS Internet Eligibility response will temporarily show as $0 for most Medicare beneficiaries. CMS estimates that this data will be updated no later than October 8, 2012. Following this update, the Therapy used amount returned in the modified and updated HETS Internet Eligibility response will show actual Therapy service usage per CMS guidelines.
Submitters that are planning to update their beneficiary records to reflect the change in Therapy financial data should wait until after October 8, 2012 to submit these eligibility requests.
