Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:
HETS began supporting Service Type Code (STC) '80' for COVID-19 immunization eligibility on Saturday, April 3, 2021. Effective that date, HETS began to return Part B eligibility and financial responsibility for COVID-19 immunization when STC ‘80’ is submitted on a valid 270 request for a Medicare Beneficiary that has active Part B Entitlement and does not have a Date of Death on file at the time of the request.
CMS announces that effective today, Friday, April 16, 2021, HETS now also returns the most recent COVID-19 vaccine and/or vaccination administration information that CMS has on file. Please refer to Section 7.24 of the newly updated HETS 270/271 Companion Guide (version 10-23) for additional details.
