Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:
CMS announces the scheduled installation of the HETS R2022Q300 release. Please note that this installation will not cause an outage to the Medicare HETS 270/271 eligibility system, but submitters may note performance or connectivity issues during the installation. HETS submitters that connect via a static TCP/IP destination IP address may encounter periods where they cannot connect to HETS during this installation. The HETS R2022Q300 Release is scheduled to be installed beginning at 9:00 PM ET on Friday, September 23, 2022. The HETS 270/271 system will remain available during the installation. CMS estimates that the installation will be completed and verified by 11:00 PM ET on Friday, September 23, 2022. MCARE will notify all HETS submitters when the installation is complete.
CMS also announces additional maintenance related to the HETS R2022Q300 release on Saturday. Please note that this additional maintenance will not cause an outage to the Medicare HETS 270/271 eligibility system, but submitters may note performance or connectivity issues during the maintenance. HETS submitters that connect via a static TCP/IP destination IP address may encounter periods where they cannot connect to HETS. This additional maintenance will occur between 9:00 AM ET to 12:00 PM (Noon) ET on Saturday, September 24, 2022.
The HETS R2022Q300 release does not introduce any changes to the HETS 270 request or HETS 271 response. There will be no impact to current HETS processing rules.
