Medicare HETS 270/271 Submitters:
CMS announces an upcoming quarterly release of the Medicare HETS 270/271 eligibility system. CMS will deploy updated HETS code during this installation. The installation will begin at 9:00 PM ET on Friday, December 11, 2020 and should be complete within 30 minutes. Please note that this installation should not cause an outage to the Medicare HETS 270/271 eligibility system, but submitters may notice reduced performance (limited errors and/or response time changes) during the install. CMS estimates that the installation will be completed by 9:30 PM ET on Friday, December 11, 2020.
Following this release, HETS will return updated 2021 deductible, copayment and coinsurance liabilities in the 271 benefit response.
