Opioid Treatment Programs: CY 2025 Updates
CMS updated Opioid Treatment Program information for CY 2025, including:
HIV Screening & Prevention
The CDC estimates that 1.2 million people in the U.S. were living with diagnosed and undiagnosed HIV in 2022. The estimated number of new HIV infections in 2022 decreased 12% compared with 2018. Increases in Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) prescriptions, viral suppression, and HIV testing likely contributed to the decline (see CDC). Screening and knowing their status helps people choose options to stay healthy. On World AIDS Day, talk with your patients about HIV screening and prevention.
Medicare pays for:
Your patients pay nothing if you accept assignment. Find out when your patient is eligible for these services. If you need help, contact your eligibility service provider.

Clotting Factor: CY 2025 Furnishing Fee
The CY 2025 blood clotting factor furnishing fee is $0.258 per unit. CMS updates this fee annually based on the percentage increase in the consumer price index for medical care.
