Non-government resources
Non-government (NGO) resources
These are non-government resources that may help with your response and recovery from a disaster or emergency.
American Red Cross (ARC)
During and after an emergency or disaster, the ARC can give you emergency resources to shelter and care for people impacted by an emergency. The ARC goes wherever it’s needed, so people can have clean water, safe shelter, and hot meals.
After a disaster, the ARC can help your community find victims’ family and friends through its Safe and Well program.
Disasters are upsetting for everyone involved, and they deserve emotional support throughout the recovery process. The ARC has a free hotline that gives communities and responders counseling or support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Call the Disaster Distress Helpline at 1-800-985-5990 or text "TalkWithUs" to 66746.
Other non-government help
