The HFPP, with support from its Partners, creates white papers to inform the public about pertinent issues that impact payers, providers, and patients.
Measuring the Value of Healthcare Anti-Fraud Efforts
When evaluating the effectiveness of efforts to combat healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse, return on investment (ROI) is a key metric. Using case studies featuring Medicare claims data and HFPP Partner insights, this HFPP white paper provides a recommended approach to measuring the value of anti-fraud initiatives, demonstrates the importance of including deterrence in ROI calculations, and outlines strategies for doing so.
