Patient relationship categories and codes (PRCs) 

The MACRA required the establishment and use of patient relationship categories and codes (PRCs). The purpose of PRCs is to facilitate the attribution of episode-based cost measures to clinicians by making it easier to identify the type of care relationship that a clinician has with a patient.
